The fundamental problem today is what marriage is now any longer supposed to be? It is interesting that if you search in a library or on the internet there is no answer for this. It is clear that what marriage is supposed to be anymore has changed very much from what it was say 100 years ago. The problem is that there does not however appear to be any definition of what it is now supposed to be anymore, so it is hardly surprising that marriages fail, since no-one seems to understand what their commitment is now supposed to be. The archaic marriage vows have no relationship clearly any longer to what it is supposed to be. They should be scrapped for the farce which they are, since hardly anyone means to keep them any longer. In fact they have become blasphemous when vowed before God in the modern context.

As with everything in this world, unless you define what it is that anything means no one can enter a commitment or attempt to keep a contract. Marriage needs to be redefined, and I suspect that with conjugal rights no longer applicable most men when they see what the modern definition of marriage actually is will not be interested in marriage. No one would consign themselves to be completely impoverished for no benefit knowingly. The current situation is a complete delusion and essentially now a suicidal trap for men methinks.

It is clear that the law is now quite different from the archaic vows; where is the new definition? I certainly have no idea of what it is supposed to be any more, and most now do not find out until they end in the divorce court, when modern law then makes it clear that marriage as in the archaic vows now has no relevance.
